Hong Kong Radio (in Cantonese): at 19.20 hrs on 31.56 metres

The Governor General of Hongkong announced that at 01.30 hrs today, four Allied aircraft bombed Hong Kong again, but were driven north by intense gun-fire. "No warning of the approaching planes was given because the long-distance telephone wires to Hong Kong had been cut. We must be fully prepared, and blackout and other precautions must be taken. We must unite with one heart to fight the enemy. We must naturally expect some damage to be done during the war,
